Rules of Attendance - St. John's High Secondary School

Attendance Requirement :

In higher grades, attendance must be at least seventy-five present of the total number of school working days for successful completion.


Punctuality and Absence :

Students absent during the daily attendance record will lose attendance credit.

Latecomers will face disciplinary action.


Leave Procedure :

Students unable to attend school must obtain leave permission in advance from the class teacher.

Absence without prior permission will result in consequences.

Leave exceeding two days requires an application to the Headmaster through the class teacher.

Medical Certificates :

A medical certificate is mandatory for illness or absences exceeding three days.


Extended Absence :

Leave beyond 5 days without proper justification will lead to the removal of the student's name from the register.


Half-Day Leave :

Students attending school in the morning should not take leave in the afternoon without the class teacher's permission

Regular attendance in Internal Assessment is crucial for students.

Importance of Attendance:

Students with insufficient attendance in Practical Classes and Internal Assessment may not receive appropriate marks in Government Examinations.


Submission of Practical Record:

Completed Practical Records must be submitted by students through their course teacher within the specified period for the Headmaster's signature.


Failure to submit on time will result in no marks being awarded.

Disciplinary Action:

Students who do not adhere to school rules and exhibit indiscipline will face immediate expulsion from the school.
